BakeChop Catering amp; Events is looking for dependable, hardworking bartenders to join our event team on a part time, as needed basis.
This is not a traditional bar position with a set weekly schedule. Available event shifts are posted to the team, staff members place bids on the shifts they are available to work, and management confirms the final event team.
Events may take place at our downtown DeLand venue or at offsite locations throughout the area. For offsite events, you may report directly to the event location. Depending on the event, team members may also be required to return to our venue afterward to unload, clean, organize, and properly put away equipment and supplies.
• $18 per hour plus tip share
• Any gratuity provided by the client is divided equally among the event team
• Set up, stock, and break down event bars
• Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic beverages
• Accurately prepare classic cocktails without relying on a recipe
• Follow event instructions, alcohol service standards, and house recipes
• Load, unload, lift, and transport alcohol, ice, coolers, glassware, and bar equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bar area
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, cleanup, and other team needs
• Support servers, event leads, kitchen staff, and fellow bartenders as needed
• Provide friendly and professional guest service
• Return equipment and supplies to the venue and help put everything away properly
Event work is physical and fast paced. Team members must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other changing conditions.
This position involves standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy items, moving coolers and alcohol cases, handling ice, loading vehicles, unloading equipment, and completing full event breakdowns.
This is a hands on team position. You are not only responsible for bartending. Everyone helps wherever needed to make sure the event is successful from setup through final cleanup.
• Previous bartending experience
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and standard pours
• Ability to prepare common drinks confidently, accurately, and efficiently
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to arrive on time at various event locations
• Ability to lift and carry at least 40 to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as events require
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Professional, dependable, and guest focused
• Willing to work hard and stay through the complete event breakdown
• Must meet all legal requirements to serve alcohol
