Job Description

POSITION TITLE AND SCOPE:  
Reports to the CFO. The Controller will provide day-to-day direction and guidance to the Accounting Department, as well as providing ‘hands on’ business analysis and financial modeling support to all companies.  They will utilize accounting and financial methods to drive improvements in existing and new systems, which enables leadership to proactively manage a growth-oriented business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Maintains and reconciles all cash accounts.
•    Opens and closes periods of all Oracle modules each month.
•    Oversees and manages all monthly transactions for Japan, EU, and Australia, ensuring that all banking and credit cards systems linked to overseas transactions are working and in compliance with the international markets.
•    Maintains all fixed asset records in Oracle including additions, deletions, and monthly depreciation.
•    Maintains correct balances in the E-wallet on the GL for all currencies and countries.
•    Work with the CFO to assure compliance with all tax and corporate filing requirements.
•    Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
•    In conjunction with the CFO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards.
•    Supervises and oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
•    In charge of all month-end-journal entries.
•    Maintains and Reconciles all GL accounts. 
•    Approves ACH/Wires for all companies.
•    Maintain and amortize prepaid expenses.
•    Prepare and reviews all financial statements for all companies.
•    Reviews all outgoing payments for accuracy and proper approvals.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, with a Master’s Degree preferred, 8 plus years of hands on accounting managerial experience, with industry experience preferred.
•    Lead, manage and develop accounting team.
•    Experience in Oracle and GL Wand is highly preferred.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks and willingness to look for ways to improve and promote processes.
PHYSIAL DEMANDS: 
Position requires to sit, stand, walk, bend reach and kneel.   Lift from 15 to 20 Lbs. Occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
Noise, dust, lightning, temperature, and physical/ergonomic hazards are typically of those usually found in an office environment.
