Job Description

Salary: $130,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

  • Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure architectures
  • In-depth hands-on expertise with Windows Server, RHEL, and Oracle Linux
  • Proficient in VMware, Nutanix, virtualization optimization, and high availability architectures
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledgeable in Terraform, Ansible, DevOps pipelines, GitHub, and Citrix
  • Strong foundational networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and firewalls
  • Solid understanding of security measures, compliance, and disaster recovery/business continuity frameworks
  • Experience with automation, scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and observability tools
  • Expertise in L3/L4 troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Responsibilities:
  • Design comprehensive infrastructure solutions for on-premise, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
  • Establish technology standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
  • Transform business needs into scalable and secure technical solutions
  • Assess emerging technologies and provide strategic advice
  • Manage and architect Windows Server, RHEL, and Oracle Linux environments
  • Supervise operating system hardening, updates, and lifecycle management
  • Perform L3/L4 troubleshooting for critical incidents
  • Lead design and management of VMware and Nutanix infrastructures
  • Configure high availability, distributed resource scheduling, clustering, and fault tolerance
  • Plan data center migrations, virtualization upgrades, and performance enhancements
  • Create, deploy, and manage cloud environments including computing, storage, IAM, networking, and monitoring
  • Design secure VPC/VNet architectures and hybrid-cloud connectivity solutions
  • Implement governance, cost optimization, security, and compliance for cloud environments
  • Drive migration strategies including re-hosting, re-platforming, and modernization efforts
  • Apply automation techniques using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub
  • Create workflows for provisioning, configuration, and compliance automation
  • Develop integrated monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
  • Implement security measures including OS hardening, IAM, and encryption
  • Design and maintain enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Assist with compliance audits, ensuring timely resolution of remediation actions
  • Champion reliability practices, SLAs, and uptime targets in an SRE context
  • Oversee incident management, change management, and root cause analysis processes
  • Produce high-level designs, low-level designs, standard operating procedures, runbooks, and architectural documentation
  • Collaborate with application, business, cloud, and security teams
  • Manage relationships with OEMs, service providers, licensing, and vendor negotiations
  • Present architectural solutions in both leadership and technical discussions
