Job Description

The Gainey Agency is a fast-growing, client-focused insurance agency offering flexible, remote opportunities. We specialize in life insurance and financial protection products and support agents with training, mentorship, and access to resources. This is a fully remote role for candidates in the Chesapeake, VA area (100% remote).

Job overview

  • Provide customer service and insurance guidance as a remote Customer Service / Insurance Agent, focusing on relationship-building, presenting tailored life insurance solutions, and providing policy support.
  • Work independently while participating in team collaboration and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls to assess client needs and recommend insurance products.
  • Educate clients on policy options, underwriting, and benefits.
  • Assist with basic policy servicing, including endorsements, claims support, and beneficiary changes.
  • Maintain accurate digital records using CRM tools.
  • Follow up with clients regularly to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with teammates and participate in training sessions.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Active life insurance license preferred (or willingness to obtain; guidance provided).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote, performance-driven environment.
  • Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in CRM tools, video conferencing, and digital communication.
  • Preferred: previous experience in sales, insurance, or customer service, and familiarity with CRM systems and remote outreach tools.
