Job Description
Randstad is currently looking for a Safety Supervisor to join our client at their facility in Carson, CA. This is a Full-Time Permanent role with our client. This position is a 1st shift role from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene / Environmental Safety, or related field.
- 2 - 5 years of related experience in health and safety or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of EHS policies and regulations.
- Experience with OSHA Regulation Compliance.
- Ability to work as part of a team and foster an environment of inclusion.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis.
- Experience with environmental health and safety management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a compliant and safe workplace.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards.
- Prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures
- Train employees in safety procedures, emergency protocols, hazard communication, and the proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Develops safety training topics, coordinates and conducts safety training.
- Facilitates safety meetings and ensures employee safety concerns are addressed timely.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is maintained, functional, and used correctly.
- Drives ongoing compliance efforts, improvement plans, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Investigates incidents/accidents, determines root causes, conducts trend analysis and recommends changes in procedures, practices, and methods to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Coordinates and conducts Job Hazard Assessments.
- Audits and inspects manufacturing and warehouse areas and equipment, determines appropriate mechanical safeguarding and monitors hazards, temperatures, noise level and employee work practices.
