Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic

Location: Mount Pleasant, PA

Pay Rate: $28-$48/hr - Based on Hands on Aircraft Experience

Type of Position: Contract to Direct Hire

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Helicopter Sheetmetal Mechanic who has a complete understanding of maintenance procedures and requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems and have the ability to read and understand blueprints, aircraft drawings, maintenance manuals, and installation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Build and/or repair sheet metal structures according to aircraft maintenance manuals or blueprints.
• Build and repair composite structures.
• Assist in the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft panels.
• Install kits as per requirements.
• Construct items as per drawings and manuals.
• Repair aircraft parts using sheet metal or composite materials.
• Inspect items for serviceability.
• Assist other departments as required.
• Participate in road trips as needed.
• Ensure all tags are properly filled out and attached to respective parts.
• Work on Bell helicopters and Airbus models.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Experience with aviation and aircraft systems.
• 3-5 years of sheet metal experience is a plus.
• Local candidates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with composite materials is a plus.
• Reliability and strong work ethic.

Work Environment

You will work in a large hangar environment alongside a team of 45 employees. The role involves working on repairs and upgrades of helicopters, including installations for full Air Medical, Law Enforcement, and VIP/Corporate kits, components, and avionics packages.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mount Pleasant,PA.
