Job Description

Job Duties:

• Advancing the ServiceLink microservices architecture within the Azure Cloud Microservices;
• Ensuring the application scales and is robust to transient irruptions;
• Defining patterns and practices to ensure data is always consistent;
• Exploring new technologies with intrinsic value for application in ServiceLink solutions;
• Leading activities with external vendors and internal team to identify, evaluate and recommend system hardware and software;
• Defining and leading proof of concept activity associated with technology assessment;
• Understanding and explaining microservice architecture, eventual consistency, etc.;
• Collaborating with IT and business representatives to identify opportunities leading to the design and development of tools and applications in support of ServiceLink and business partner operations;
• Documenting the desired future state of solution architecture and documenting the gaps between current and future states;
• Defining transition plans to close the gaps;
• Migrating legacy technologies which do not follow the ServiceLink microservices cloud architecture into cloud solutions;
• Assuming a leadership role in establishing and ensuring compliance with IT governance policies and initiatives, including standards, code quality, unit testing, security, best practices, and policies;
• Championing good design;
• Serving as a subject matter expert in multiple technology areas;
• Assuring that solution designs meet requirements for scalability, security, performance, and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements;
• Participating in the assessment and resolution of software defects discovered during the quality assurance process;
• Working with software engineers, QA engineers, technical writers, configuration management and infrastructure, as needed, to ensure quality and the successful implementation of new applications or features;
• Assisting IT Managers in assessing feature and requirement tradeoffs;
• Proactively reporting issues with technology, process, and/or personnel, back to stakeholders to ensure that projects remain on track and issues are identified and resolved early;
• Writing ASP.NET Core Web API REST services; and
• Utilizing Virtualization, including orchestration platforms Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related role developing applications and software/systems architecture using .NET Core, Web API, Cloud Computing, Functions, Classic, HTML5, Type Script, CSS, Design Patterns, Enterprise Architecture, and NoSQL;
• 2 years of experience working with Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, Azure AI Services, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Azure Search, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure Databricks, Fabric, Traffic Manager, Container Service, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Table Storage, Notification Hubs, Service Bus, API Management, Azure Active Directory, Azure Active Directory B2C, Multi-Factor Authentication, DevOps, Azure PAAS, App Service, API Management, Logic Apps, Azure AD, Notification Hubs, Event hub, Machine Learning, Service Bus, Queues, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Application Insights.
• Company headquarters is located in Moon Township, PA, but telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the United States.
