Job Description

The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomography scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred. Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Shifts:5x8hr day shifts. Possible weekend shifts as needed. Shift Days:None Hours per Week:40 Contract Length:13 Week(s) Start Date:03/30/2026 Details of Assignment: Competently performs routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or may help orient other staff to the department.
