Job Description

Alamo Concrete Products Company, ACP, is headquartered in San Antonio, TX with 8 Divisions throughout the Greater Central/South Texas Region. ACP produces and delivers concrete and operates Aggregate Quarries that supply concrete, aggregate (rock) and sand to the batch plants.

The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple Ready-Mix concrete plants within the Houston Division. This role includes supervising drivers, coordinating with dispatch to schedule drivers and plant personnel, managing day-to-day plant operations, and ensuring effective communication and coordination with job sites.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees plant employees and drivers in production and delivery.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy as needed.
  • Regularly inspects, maintains and evaluates company property.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, laws, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
  • Implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ready-mix concrete operations.
  • Valid Texas license required and ability to pass an MVR verification.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and supervisory capabilities.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Willingness to travel to various plants and job sites as needed.
