Bartender / Server

Bricolage is a long-established Park Slope neighborhood restaurant known for its Vietnamese-French cuisine and craft cocktails, located in a beautiful artist-designed space.

We value professionalism, reliability, and hospitality professionals who take pride in creating a thoughtful guest experience.

We are seeking an experienced bartender who is comfortable executing a craft cocktail program while providing full service at the bar, including the full food menu. The bar is integrated into the dining room and plays an important role in the overall guest experience, so strong hospitality instincts and comfort engaging with guests are essential.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both craft cocktail preparation and restaurant service, and who is comfortable guiding guests through the cocktail list, menu, and pairings.

We are a small, collaborative team, and bartenders should be open to occasionally taking serving shifts and supporting the floor when needed.

At least 2 years bartending or similar restaurant experience required.
NYC full-service restaurant experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• prepare craft cocktails with consistency, precision, and attention to detail
• provide full bar service including taking food orders and serving the full menu at the bar
• guide guests through cocktails, spirits, wine, and menu items
• recommend cocktails and pairings in a natural and engaging way
• maintain a welcoming and energetic bar atmosphere
• maintain organization and cleanliness of the bar and service area
• assist with opening and closing bar duties
• communicate clearly with servers and kitchen to maintain smooth service flow
• support the dining room when needed, including occasional serving shifts
• contribute to a positive and collaborative service environment
• communicate guest concerns or issues to management
• maintain professional appearance and service standards

Skills and Requirements

• solid cocktail technique and familiarity with classic cocktails and spirits
• strong hospitality instincts and comfort interacting with guests
• ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• familiarity with POS systems and reservation platforms (Resy a plus)
• multitasking and organizational skills
• reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic
• flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary
