Job Description

Position: Remote Structural Steel Lead / Chief Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Lead/Chief Estimator with a strong background in industrial projects , including steel erection, ductwork/boilermaker scopes, rigging, and millwright work. This is a remote/hybrid role , with the flexibility to work from your location of choice, while traveling into the office 1-3 times per month.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the estimating department and mentor junior staff

Perform take-offs and enter data into Excel-based estimating sheets

Estimate all project costs accurately and comprehensively

Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment vendors

Package complete proposals from start to finish (cradle to grave)

Qualifications:

Extensive experience estimating structural steel and industrial projects

Comfortable performing all aspects of take-offs and cost estimation independently

Strong understanding of steel erection, duct/boilermaker work, rigging, and millwrighting scopes

Proven leadership experience in managing estimating teams

Ability to work remotely while maintaining collaboration with the office
